Today, we celebrate freedom, resilience, culture, and the enduring legacy of those who paved the way. As we commemorate Juneteenth, we also honor the tireless advocacy of Soror Opal Lee, whose unwavering efforts helped make Juneteenth a federally recognized holiday. Her legacy reminds us that one voice can inspire lasting change.

The Sigma Alpha Zeta Chapter was proud to participate in the Juneteenth Parade, walking alongside our Sorors of the Kappa Beta Zeta Chapter in a beautiful display of sisterhood, service, and community.

🎓💙 Congratulations to Ma'Leya Cornelius, recipient of the 5 Distinguished Pearls Foundation, Inc. Scholarship in the amount of $1,500!

Pictured with Foundation Vice President Soror Stanthia Grier, Ma'Leya is a graduating senior from Dominican High School and will attend Xavier University of Louisiana this fall, where she plans to major in Biology on the Pre-Med track!!

Ma'Leya is an active member of Top Teens of America – Milwaukee Chapter and participates in both softball and tennis. Her dedication to academics, leadership, and extracurricular involvement exemplifies excellence and promise for the future.

We are proud to support Ma'Leya as she continues her educational journey and wish her much success in all her future endeavors! 💙✨

We proudly recognize Soror Grier for her dedication, leadership, and commitment to sisterhood. She consistently shows up in service to our chapter, always willing to support wherever needed.

During the recent Regional Conference, she embodied the true spirit of sisterhood by making sorors feel welcomed and included. Beyond the chapter, she continues to make an impact through her work with the 5 Distinguished Foundation, service on the NPHC board, and support of undergraduate engagement.
