Wisconsin needs more teachers, and UW-Milwaukee’s School of Education is committed to helping prepare them.

UWM is exploring a 90-credit bachelor’s degree in elementary and middle education that could provide a faster, more accessible pathway into the teaching profession.

It’s one more way we’re working to strengthen Wisconsin’s educator workforce and prepare teachers for the classrooms and communities that need them.

A new approach to preparing Wisconsin’s teachers is taking shape at UW-Milwaukee.

In a recent Wisconsin Public Radio story, UW-Milwaukee Chancellor Thomas Gibson discusses UWM's proposed 90-credit bachelor’s degree in education and how the program could help prepare more teachers to meet the needs of Milwaukee Public Schools and communities across Wisconsin.

How can parents help kids build confidence and excitement around math? UWM’s Anne Marie Marshall and Liz Cutter-Lin recently joined FOX6 Milwaukee to share strategies for making math more engaging and less intimidating for kids.

Their work through UWM’s Center for Mathematics and Science Education Research is helping educators find new ways to inspire the next generation of problem-solvers.
