Alverno College Music Therapy

10/13/2026

Alverno College has been ahead of the curve offering what some call an ungraded or contextually based show it instead of know it curriculum since the 1970’s. This model aligns beautifully with a profession with competency requirements. Hear what music therapy major Alise has to say about studying music therapy here.

Alverno College in Milwaukee doesn't give letter grades. Schools like MIT and University of Michigan are stopping letter grades for freshmen to ease the pressure of transitioning to college.
