Meet junior mechanical engineering major Skye Sonnabend! This summer, she was a test engineering intern at the Honda Auto Development Center. She created a tool to benchmark competitor vehicles at the HALO Wind Tunnel and designed and implemented a new sensor system into their benchmarking process. Great work, Skye!

Meet senior computer engineering major Perry Newlin! This summer, he was an intern with AMD in Austin, Texas continuing work he started in a co-op for the company in Boston, Massachusetts the fall semester of 2025. At AMD, he supported the virtual bring up effort of AMD processors based on the Zen architecture using multi-FPGA prototyping systems enabling testing and validation of future processor designs before physical silicon is available. Excellent work, Perry!

Meet senior mechanical engineering major Daniel Marciniak! This summer, Daniel is a service reliability intern at Progress Rail in La Grange, Illinois. His tasks include analyzing train locomotive component performance data, helping draft service advisories and gaining in-depth knowledge about locomotive systems. Great work, Daniel!
