Please join us on September 22 for “On the Issues: See Something, Scan Everything.”

The use of “Flock cameras” in communities around the nation and state has been in the news recently. What are they? How have they become a law enforcement tool used in both large and small towns and cities in Wisconsin? With an estimated 2,000 cameras in Wisconsin alone, what legal issues should be considered in the usage of such technology?

Joining Lubar Center Director Derek Mosley for a conversation to examine these questions will be:

Melinda Brennan, executive director, American Civil Liberties Union of Wisconsin
Heather Hough, chief of staff, Milwaukee Police Department
Jim Olson, police chief in DeForest, Wisconsin, and first vice president, Wisconsin Chiefs of Police Association

The program will begin promptly at 12:15 p.m. in Eckstein Hall. Please register to attend. https://law.marquette.edu/2026-09-22/issues-see-something-scan-everything

A light lunch will be available.
