UWM Violin Studio Welcome to Dr. Bernard Zinck violin studio at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. This page will allow you to see the studio's activities.

• The UWM Violin Studio welcomes violin students who want to deepen their technical and musical skills and knowledge in a safe, non-judgmental and nurturing environment.
• Through weekly lessons and masterclasses, students develop a clear understanding of the mind-body relationships and are able to build a healthy and efficient technique, allowing them to express them self effortlessly and efficiently.
• Through performances on campus and in the community, collaborations with other musical organization (MYSO, Latina Arts, MPS…), students are encouraged to develop a greater sense of social involvement and social justice.
• Through the study of a wide range of repertoire ranging from the baroque era to today’s music, classical and non-classical genres, students develop a strong sense of musicianship and are equipped to work in many different professional settings.
• The UWM Violin Studio violin masterclasses with guests allow students to forge connections with leading educators and musicians from the United States and around the world. The UWM Violin Studio is proud of its diversity and fosters a sense of tolerance and inclusivity.

Throughout the season, we're spotlighting the instructors and coaches who make MYSO what it is.

Meet Manuel Landin Lopez.

Manuel is one of MYSO’s Progressions Violin Instructors. He was born in Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico, and grew up in Milwaukee. After performing with MYSO in Vienna and Budapest as a student, he's back to teach the next generation of MYSO musicians. When he’s not teaching, you’ll find him performing in Mariachi Monarcas de Milwaukee, a student-led mariachi group.
