Yesterday, Chef Gustavo Romero joined Michelle Hamilton's SPAN 3506 - Traditional Ways of Knowing & the Environment to discuss the history and importance of corn and nixtamalization as part of traditional ways of knowing in the Spanish-speaking world. 🌽🔥 Students learned about the deep cultural connections between food, history, and identity—an essential part of understanding traditions that have shaped communities for centuries.
Thank you, Chef Romero, for sharing your expertise and passion with our students! 🙌
