Our Story

UMAC is a gap year for experienced professionals as they explore ways to apply their talents for the greater good. UMAC blends learning with hands-on community engagement and personal/career development with an intergenerational approach.

UMAC provides fellows with the framework, guidance, and experiential learning opportunities over an academic year (fall and spring semesters) to smooth this transitional time, gain a sense of renewal, and set the stage to successfully launch a new career or volunteer in the social sector.
