The Resilient Communities Project connects Minnesota local government agencies with U of MN faculty and students to assist with research and technical assistance projects that advance community sustainability, livability, and resilience. The Resilient Communities Project (RCP) is an award-winning local government assistance program housed in the University of Minnesota’s Center for Urban and Regio

nal Affairs (CURA). RCP provides research and technical assistance to eligible local government agencies—including cities, counties, and special districts such as watershed districts, port authorities, and school districts—by matching community-identified projects with graduate and professional students across the University, who work on projects for course credit. Projects are intended to advance local resilience, helping communities to adapt and thrive in the face of economic, social, and environmental changes, stresses, and shocks.
