My wife is in the graduate program online with Pfeiffer. We also do string art as a side business so we did this piece for her office! Go Falcons!
Here is an overview of our virtual classroom solution. I think we can all agree that COVID will greatly impact the shape of higher education's future. Right now more than ever colleges and universities are experimenting with blended online and in-person classes (when things go back to "normal") while trying to reduce costs for students and keep revenue growing so institutions can continue to fund themselves. The definition of a "student" is rapidly changing to now include adults, part-time learners, corporate-funded students and many others. And there are new disruptors redefining education with online courses, certificates, training with guaranteed job placements and much more. We are looking to work with universities and colleges who are bold visionaries. Platforms like Zoom are still focused on an old paradigm of 1 to many "broadcast" style delivery where lecturing is still considered the medium. We believe that education will become much more highly Socratic and diverse, where education is more inclusive, interactions becoming more meaningful and that relationships with students do not just stop after their degree but rather its just the start of their journey to acquire knowledge. **Our virtual classroom software is a one-stop room for the new way of teaching including class videos, presentations, an interactive white-board and includes assignment management. Professors and students can share live or recorded video. Students can submit class assignments that can easily be reviewed and marked. As well, students can share class notes, chat and much more.** [https://higher-ed.tutorocean.com/coronavirus-help](https://higher-ed.tutorocean.com/coronavirus-help) David Floyd Account Executive 941-725-8567 .[https://higher-ed.tutorocean.com](https://higher-ed.tutorocean.com/) 📷 **ReplyReply allForward**

Dr. Joel E. Vickers Dear Colleagues, It is with the consent of the family and sadness of heart that I share with you the passing of Dr. Joel E. Vickers. He departed earth for his heavenly home today at 3:33pm at Atrium Hospital in Charlotte, NC. Dr. Vickers retired having completed 19 years of service at Pfeiffer University (1997-2016). He left his full-time employment with the University in good professional standing, having served as Professor and Chair of the Department of Health Administration with honor and distinction. His Emeriti status was supported by the strong evidence of his distinguished service to Pfeiffer University, the academic field of health administration, and his significant contributions to teaching, innovative scholarship and community service. Dr. Joel Vickers enjoyed a long and prestigious career in health care administration prior to his coming to Pfeiffer. He was a tenured member of the faculty at East Carolina University, and an adjunct associate professor at the University of North Carolina Charlotte. He served our country with honor for eight years in the U.S. Air Force as a pilot. He worked as Deputy Director for AHEC, the Charlotte Area Health Education Center. In his private life he served since 1985 as a Sunday school teacher and Trustee at Matthews United Methodist Church. This is the knowledge and real world experience that shapes his ethical framework of reference and grounds him in soft spoken humility. This is the spirit that he brought to Pfeiffer University in 1997 when he assumed the role of Professor and Chair or the Department of Health Administration. Dr. Vickers was a man of undeniable insight and vision. He built a health administration program that has become the largest in the Carolinas and one of the largest in the country. It was his ingenuity that combined graduate and undergraduate health programs together to form the Department of Health Administration. He pioneered use of the cohort model for onsite instructional delivery of our graduate programs resulting in exponential enrollment growth. And it is the success of the cohort model, combined with an unwavering commitment to teaching with excellence that catapulted Pfeiffer healthcare management programs to be recognized as the University’s signature Steeple of Excellence. Dr. Vickers was a true leader. It was his participative leadership that attracted uniquely qualified and industry experienced faculty to create a team willing to travel Monday through Thursday all over the State to deliver a competitive program that has graduated over 1500 students. These students hold executive positions in major healthcare systems across the country. Many have gone on to pursue doctorates in healthcare administration because of his role model influence. It takes a man of strength and energy to comprehend the need for global exposure that led to the design of comparative international health trips to Canada, London, Germany, Austria, France and Liberia. These international travel opportunities offer unique exposure to healthcare settings around the world that gives Pfeiffer graduates strategic advantage in the workplace. It takes energy to single-handedly brand a department that enjoys a solid reputation for preparing transformational leaders that are shaping the future of healthcare locally, nationally and globally. Dr. Vickers was beloved by students and faculty because of his warm and inviting spirit, and his passion for people. He sincerely cared. His unselfish caring and steady hand of encouragement freed faculty to pursue their won passions and encouraged students to excel beyond perceived limitations and current job status. He extended himself and Pfeiffer to work collaboratively with the Allied Regional Skills Partnership to create innovative solutions that address allied health workforce shortages throughout Mecklenburg County and across the state. The value of these contributions cannot be measured or compensated. Nevertheless, they are the measure of the man. Final arrangements are not yet available. When they are I will communicate the same. Please keep the Vickers family in your prayers.
Please close out today's basketball game ! It is still showing no final score with 7 seconds left! 🤔
Hello, I am trying to contact the marketing director of your online school. If you could have them email me ([email protected]) I would greatly appreciate it! Cheers! Chris
I started going to this school when I was deployed because they advertised as being military friendly. Then, without notifying me first, they eliminated the military discount which raised my tuition by 60% and caused me to have to drop out from the school.
