Vital Link is offering 10 scholarships for students enrolled in one or more CTE courses at an Orange County high school or community college. The scholarships will be paid out in two installments, one for Fall 2022 and the other for Winter/Spring 2023. The deadline to apply is Friday, December 17 at 5 pm. Students can visit this link to apply: https://bit.ly/pedal-edscholarship22-23.

The following must all be submitted by the deadline in order for your application to be considered. Please note that no exceptions will be made.

· Completed application form, with all questions answered fully
· One letter of recommendation from a CTE instructor or counselor
· Copy of your unofficial transcripts

The Scholarship Committee will evaluate each application on the following criteria:

· Financial need associated with pursuit of degree
· Demonstrated interest or pursuit of a Career Technical Education pathway
· degree
· Work and/or extracurricular activities
· Essay question answers
· Recommendations

Requirements for Vital Link Community College Scholarship Awardees:

· Must be currently enrolled in one or more CTE courses at an Orange County, CA
· high school or an Orange County, CA Community College.
· Minimum of 2.5 GPA.
· Must enroll full-time in a Community College program in the Fall 2022 semester and
· in the Winter/Spring 2023 semester.
· Enrollment verification will be required to receive the financial award for Fall 2021. To
· receive the 2nd half of the scholarship, student must submit proof of completion for
· the Fall 2022 semester and enrollment verification for the Winter/Spring 2023
· semester.
· Scholarship funds may be used for tuition, books, transportation, housing,
· equipment, supplies, or any other costs associated with attending a community
· college.
· The Student must agree to attend the Vital Link event in January 2022 announcing
· the scholarship awardees.
· Scholarship awardees must sign the Vital Link marketing/photo release form.
· Scholarship awardees must agree to be highlighted in Vital Link marketing efforts
· after their first semester of community college.

FREE Snacks Available for Students!
To make up for the lack of grab and go snacks due to a transition in vending machine suppliers, free snacks will be available for students at the SSC Info Desk and at the LRC Tutoring Center. Snacks will be available during operating hours.
