Sinte Gleska University Announces Slogan Contest Winner
By: Teddie Rae Herman, SGU Media.

MISSION - Sinte Gleska University recently held a Slogan Contest, receiving several creative and inspiring entries from the community.

We are pleased to announce that Natalie Johner, a Career and Technical Education (CTE) teacher at Todd County High School, was selected as the winner with her slogan: “SGU: Where the Past and Future Meet!”

Johner received $100.00 from Sinte Gleska University for her winning entry. Her slogan will be incorporated into SGU’s future marketing, advertising, and promotional efforts as the university continues to share its mission and vision with students, families, and the community.

🎉 Congratulations, Natalie, and thank you to everyone who participated in the Slogan Contest! 🤩

📣 Here's important information from our Financial Aid and Student Billing offices:
👉 SGU Financial Aid and Student Billing have begun the process of awarding Fall Semester Federal Pell Grants and scholarship awards that have been received to date.
This week, Student Billing will focus on processing Federal Pell Grant awards. Next week, Student Billing will focus on processing the scholarship awards that have been received.
As we move forward throughout the semester, we will continue to process awards each week as additional awards are received.
As a reminder, once a student has met their cost of attendance, SGU is unable to award institutionally controlled scholarships and awards - in doing so would intentionally result in the student being over-awarded.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding your financial or scholarship awards, please feel free to contact Midas Gunhammer, Financial Aid Office, at: [email protected] or (605) 856-8140. Or, get ahold of Stephan LaPointe, Student Billing, at: [email protected] or (605) 856-8196.

PS: Don’t forget you are able to log into your JICS accounts and access your information there as well. Here is the link to the SGU main page: 🌐 sintegleska.edu
In the top right corner is 2 red links: one named: SGU-JICS, the other: Tech Help Desk. If you are having problems logging into SGU-JICS, fill out a Tech Help Desk request, and a Tech will follow up with you. 👈

Thank you! 🙂
