Today, we mourn the passing of Dr. Richard E. Holmes, a trailblazer whose courage and determination forever changed Mississippi State University.

His legacy is more than a moment in our university's history. It lives in every student who finds opportunity, discovers belonging, and achieves success at Mississippi State.

As the Division of Access, Opportunity and Success, we are honored to carry forward his legacy through our continued commitment to opening doors, removing barriers, and creating pathways for student success.
