🐾 Happy National Veterinary Technician Week! 🐾

Veterinary technicians wear many hats in the veterinary profession. From serving as patient advocates and assisting with surgeries to running laboratory tests, collecting samples, monitoring anesthesia, triaging emergencies, and educating clients, they play a vital role in the care and well-being of animals every day.

Today marks the beginning of NVTW, a time to recognize and celebrate the dedication, compassion, and hard work of veterinary technicians everywhere. Their knowledge, skill, and commitment help make quality patient care possible.

If you know a veterinary technician, work with one, or happen to see one this week, take a moment to say "Happy NVTW!" and thank them for all they do. A few kind words can go a long way in recognizing the impact they make every day.

🐾National Vet Tech Week is almost here!🐾

As we prepare to celebrate National Vet Tech Week next week, our VMT junior and senior students have been hard at work planning fundraisers, activities, and events to help recognize and celebrate the veterinary technician profession.

You may be asking yourself, what exactly is a veterinary technician? Veterinary technicians are much more than a helping hand in the veterinary profession. They are skilled professionals who play vital roles in patient care, anesthesia monitoring, laboratory procedures, radiology, nursing care, client education, emergency medicine, and so much more. Veterinary technicians are an essential part of the veterinary healthcare team and help ensure the best possible care for animals every day.

Throughout NVTW, our students will be hosting a variety of events, including:

• Benefit Days at local businesses
• Raffle Sales with exciting prizes
• Bake Sales
• Bingo Night
• Social media engagement and educational posts

We invite the CVM community and our supporters to join us in celebrating the hard work, dedication, and compassion of veterinary technicians while supporting our future veterinary professionals.

Be sure to follow our social media pages throughout the week as we continue to share event details, educational content, and highlights from National Vet Tech Week!
