What a beautiful time spent at our Delta Theta Omega Chapter, of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated sisterhood retreat! We played games, sang together, shared laughs, and took the time to truly learn more about one another.

This retreat was a beautiful reminder that sisterhood is about more than just being together it’s about building genuine connections, creating memories, supporting one another, and growing together. We are grateful for the love, laughter, and bonds that continue to make our sisterhood so special! 🩷💚

Delta Theta Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® is thrilled to celebrate our 2026 South Eastern Region 40 Under 40 nominee, Soror Lakeidra Tamara Mims — a visionary leader, compassionate advocate, and shining example of Service to All Mankind.

Professionally, Soror Lakeidra is a powerhouse. As a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW‑S), Accredited Case Manager (ACM‑SW), and Social Work Supervisor for the Care Transition Department at UAB, she leads with excellence, empathy, and unmatched dedication. Her career spans trauma services, child and family advocacy, and clinical leadership — always centering the vulnerable and underserved.

Within Delta Theta Omega, Soror Lakeidra is known for her energy, reliability, and heart for sisterhood. She currently serves as Co‑Chair of the Generation Next Committee, and her service record includes Membership, January Hostess, Pink Goes Red, Connection & Social Action, Sisterly Relations, and Empower Our Families. She has also contributed her talents to the 92nd South Eastern Regional Conference through Media Relations/Communications and Registration.

Her commitment to community is equally inspiring, serving faithfully at Mars Hill Missionary Baptist Church and Miracle Temple Christian Center. Her gifts in conflict resolution, project management, and event planning strengthen both our chapter and the communities we serve.
