University of South Alabama Tuba-Euphonium Studio The University of South Alabama Tuba-Euphonium Studio is comprised of students who are currently pursuing a major or minor in music at USA.

The University of South Alabama Tuba-Euphonium Studio is comprised of students at USA who are currently pursuing a major or minor in music. In addition to private studies, the studio also supports the USA Tuba-Euphonium Quartet and the USA Tuba-Euphonium Ensemble. The USA Tuba-Euphonium Studio is under the stewardship of William H. Petersen, who aslo serves as the University of South Alabama's Ass

istant Director of Bands. In addition, he conducts the USA Tuba-Euphonium Ensemble. Students who are part of the studio participate in weekly lessons, an instrument specific masterclass, and are encouraged to perform in the USA Tuba-Euphonium Ensemble. Masterclasses focus on orchestra and band excerpts, instrument-specific pedagogical issues, and other topics that are important to the developing musician and music educator (developing a CV, starting a private studio, auditioning, etc). The studio is active in supporting the mission of the Department of Music through performance and service.
