🏆 The ULM College of Pharmacy is proud to announce the 2026 inductees into the College of Pharmacy Hall of Fame: Blake P. Pitre (Pharmacy ’62), Richard A. “Andy” Soileau (Pharmacy ’75), and the late Robert B. “Rob” Toups (Pharmacy ’68).
Help us congratulate these individuals on this recognition and thank them for their dedication and commitment to the profession of pharmacy and the College of Pharmacy. Inductees will be honored during Homecoming weekend, September 25-26.
𝐁𝐥𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐏. 𝐏𝐢𝐭𝐫𝐞, 𝐑.𝐏𝐡. ’𝟔𝟐, has dedicated more than six decades to the profession of pharmacy as owner of Pitre's Pharmacy and as a long-time leader in organized pharmacy. He served 53 years on the Louisiana Board of Pharmacy, helping guide pharmacy practice and regulation across the state, and held leadership roles in numerous state and national pharmacy organizations. A devoted supporter of his alma mater, he received the ULM Golden Arrow Award in 1989 and the university’s highest alumni honor, the ULM Alumni Lifetime Achievement Award in 2025. He is also the recipient of multiple Louisiana Pharmacists Association honors. Pitre is recognized for his extraordinary commitment to patient care, professional service, community leadership, and his alma mater.
𝐑𝐢𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐀. “𝐀𝐧𝐝𝐲” 𝐒𝐨𝐢𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐮, 𝐑.𝐏𝐡. ’𝟕𝟓, is a distinguished community pharmacist, pharmacy advocate, and long-time supporter of the ULM College of Pharmacy. As owner of Medicine Shoppe and Soileau’s Pharmacy in New Iberia, he built a reputation for exceptional patient care and professional leadership throughout Louisiana. A former president of the Louisiana Pharmacists Association, founding leader of the Louisiana Independent Pharmacies Association, member of the Louisiana Board of Pharmacy, member of multiple Dean’s Advisory Committees, and a ULM College of Pharmacy preceptor, he has dedicated his career to advancing patient care, mentoring future pharmacists, and strengthening the profession throughout Louisiana. You can also thank him if you’ve ever eaten some good Cajun food at one of the College of Pharmacy’s Homecoming tailgates!
𝐑𝐨𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐭 𝐁. “𝐑𝐨𝐛” 𝐓𝐨𝐮𝐩𝐬, 𝐑.𝐏𝐡. ’𝟔𝟖, was a distinguished pharmacist, mentor, and champion of the ULM College of Pharmacy. A former President of the Louisiana Pharmacists Association and recipient of its Pharmacist of the Year Award, he dedicated his career to advancing pharmacy practice, mentoring future pharmacists, and supporting the College of Pharmacy through decades of leadership and service. Rob served as a founding member of the College’s Dean’s Advisory Council, and was later honored as a Member Emeritus. He was also named ULM Alumnus of the Year in 2003 and Phi Delta Chi’s Most Distinguished Alumnus in 2004. He was a generous supporter of the College of Pharmacy through the Dufilho Society and his pride for the College of Pharmacy was always evident. His legacy of integrity, generosity, and commitment to others continues to inspire the pharmacy profession.
