Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia - University of Louisiana at Monroe This is the official page for the Eta Iota Chapter of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia at ULM.

Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia is a nationally-recognized men's social fraternity, bringing together musicians of any and all walks of life together within a common bond. Sinfonia is open to any male college student or faculty member of at least 18 years of age who has a love of music and wants to better himself as a man and as a musician. Phi Mu Alpha currently holds 239 chapters in 45 states and has init

iated over 100,000 members throughout the years. The original chapter of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia was brought to ULM's campus on December 15, 1955. After nearly 40 years of dedication to Sinfonia and the music department at ULM, the Eta Iota Chapter was dissolved. In the Fall of 2008, Phi Mu Alpha was reintroduced to the students at ULM. Men were recruited for the cause and Eta Iota was granted colony status on January 9, 2009. Some 3 years later, after much hard work and dedication, the colony was approved for Phase II of colonization and on April 28, 2012, the Eta Iota Chapter was reactivated.
