MCCC’s RN seniors attended the Michigan Nursing Student Association (MNSA) annual state conference at Henry Ford College on October 16, joining nurse leaders and healthcare professionals for professional development sessions.

While there, students participated in professional development sessions featuring nurse leaders and healthcare professionals. It was a wonderful learning experience.

A special highlight: MCCC student Devon Beck received a $1,500 scholarship from the Michigan Nurses Association! 🎉

Congratulations, Devon, and kudos to our future nurses for taking the next steps in their professional journeys!

A special night of music is coming to MCCC! Monroe College-Community Symphony Band will perform the “Passing the Baton” Concert on Monday, Oct. 26 at 7:30 p.m.

This unique Symphonic Band concert will feature four candidates for the position of Director of the MCCC College-Community Symphonic Band, each conducting one selection. The remaining pieces will be led by members of the Symphonic Band.

We are also delighted to welcome special guest violinist Ann Felder, who will perform John Williams’ Theme from Schindler’s List. The concert will conclude with the world premiere of Village Carriage Ride, composed and conducted by Wyatt Harrington, a clarinetist in the Symphonic Band.

General admission is free—bring your friends and enjoy an evening of exceptional community music!

Watch Benjamin Watkins bring clay to life!

Visiting artist Benjamin Watkins is demonstrating pottery art, and tonight he’ll share more about his work during a presentation from 6:30–8:30 p.m. in the La-Z-Boy Center Atrium. His artwork will also be on display until November 15.
