The FSHD faculty and staff are thrilled to welcome everyone back to a new academic year! This time of year brings a wonderful sense of excitement, fresh beginnings, and new opportunities for learning, growth, and connection. We’re so excited to see our students back on campus and hope this year is filled with meaningful experiences, new friendships, and plenty of moments to celebrate. As professionals devoted to improving the health and well-being of individuals and families, all of us in Family Science & Human Development are tremendously proud of our colleagues in the Department of Communication Sciences & Disorders for the life-changing work they performed at their Audiology Clinic in the Dominican Republic. Congratulations to everyone associated with this endeavor!

Through an inaugural humanitarian trip and telehealth follow-ups, Montclair faculty and students provided life-changing hearing care to children on the Caribbean island

As a department that focuses intently on people and families, FSHD loves the first Sunday in August because it’s national Family Day! Today is all about celebrating the people who make our lives brighter, our laughs louder, and our hearts completely full.
