Montclair State University College of Communication & Media Preparing students for the real world through seven majors, award-winning student mendia organizations and a new, online masters degree.

Founded in 2012, the School of Communication and Media offers a range of dynamic programs in communication and media to a talented and diverse student population of over 1,600. Offering degrees in film and television, social media and public relations, advertising, journalism and digital media, sports communication, communication and media studies, and an MA in public and organizational relations,

the School prepares the next generation of communication and media practitioners and leaders. The School houses award-winning student programs that include WMSC 90.3 FM, The Montclarion, Hawk Communications, Red Hawk Sports Network, News Lab, and Hawk+, as well as the Center for Cooperative Media, which serves the public by working to grow and strengthen local journalism. Our Montclair State University School of Communication & Media page is a place to exchange information related to the campus community. What a great conversation and Q&A had with some of our Sports Communication students today!

“You’ve made a great choice by being here at , so take advantage of the opportunities. Get involved and go call a lacrosse game or another sport, but treat it like it’s the New York Yankees.”

About how students should treat their career arc: “Be persistent,” he continued. “My new favorite Giant is , he just puts his head down and hits the hole like a hard-charging rhino. That’s how you have to approach this business, put your head down and work hard.”
