Montclair State University College of Communication & Media Preparing students for the real world through seven majors, award-winning student media organizations and a new, online masters degree.

Founded in 2012, the School of Communication and Media offers a range of dynamic programs in communication and media to a talented and diverse student population of over 1,600. Offering degrees in film and television, social media and public relations, advertising, journalism and digital media, sports communication, communication and media studies, and an MA in public and organizational relations, the School prepares the next generation of communication and media practitioners and leaders. The School houses award-winning student programs that include WMSC 90.3 FM, The Montclarion, Hawk Communications, Red Hawk Sports Network, News Lab, and Hawk+, as well as the Center for Cooperative Media, which serves the public by working to grow and strengthen local journalism. Our Montclair State University School of Communication & Media page is a place to exchange information related to the campus community. A Conversation with the Host and Executive Producer of Holding Space with Tracy E. Gilchrist 🎤 ✨

Join the College of Communication and Media and the Gender, Sexuality, and Women's Studies Program at Montclair for "A Journalist's Reflection on Art, Advocacy, and the Power of Name-Dropping" with Tracy E. Gilchrist.

Tracy is the host of Holding Space with Tracy and the former editor-in-chief of The Advocate. She'll share what she's learned from interviewing high-profile artists and talk about the power of visibility and socially conscious storytelling. An audience Q&A will follow.

Nine College of Communication and Media students and alumni were selected for the FIFA Host Broadcast Intern Programme, gaining hands-on experience behind the scenes of one of the world's biggest sporting events.
