The 156th Annual Session of the Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge, F. & A.M. of Alabama, held July 20–22, 2026, at the Sheraton Hotel in Birmingham, was a tremendous milestone for the jurisdiction. On June 24th, at the Southlawn Baptist Church in Montgomery, Alabama, Masonic District #8 of the MWPHGL of Alabama celebrated St. John's Day, honoring one of our fraternity's primary patron saints. St. John the Baptist represents zeal, moral courage, and unwavering dedication to truth. By celebrating this day, we align ourselves with centuries of Masonic tradition, re-dedicate ourselves to the principles of brotherly love, relief, and truth, and commit to bringing more light and charity into our communities. The celebration was opened by Grand District Deputy Belser and featured a keynote address by Judge J. C. Love. 📐✨

Later in May 2026, Demonstrating the enduring Masonic principle of relief, Hamilton Lodge No. 365 reached out to those undergoing medical care by visiting the local DaVita Care Dialysis Clinic in May. Dialysis treatments often require patients to spend long, arduous hours seated at the clinic. Recognizing this hardship, the Brothers graciously donated cases of bottled water to keep the patients hydrated, along with a large supply of crossword puzzle books to provide mental stimulation and entertainment during their sessions.
This thoughtful donation was met with deep gratitude from both the hardworking clinic staff and the patients. It served as a humble reminder that small acts of kindness can bring immense comfort to those facing significant health challenges.

In early May 2026, the Brothers of Hamilton Lodge No. 365 participated in "Reading with Dads" Day at Davis Elementary School in Montgomery, Alabama. Demonstrating mentorship and community involvement, they joined fathers, grandfathers, and other community leaders in classrooms to read with students and promote the importance of literacy. This event created a nurturing environment and showed students that strong, positive male mentors are invested in their educational journeys. The day concluded with a special awards presentation that recognized and celebrated the students for their hard work.
Through this initiative, Hamilton Lodge continues to exhibit its commitment to uplifting youth in the local community. The occasion reflected the Masonic principle of Brotherly Love, expressed through the Lodge’s dedication to guiding, encouraging, and investing in the next generation.

In April 2026, the spirit of fellowship and joy was brought to the residents of Diversacare – Montgomery Nursing Home for Easter, courtesy of Hamilton Lodge No. 365. The Brothers paid a special holiday visit to the facility, eager to ensure the residents knew they were valued members of society and felt loved and remembered during this season of renewal and rebirth. Equipped with baskets and bags filled with colorful Easter eggs, an assortment of candy, and an abundance of warm hugs, the Lodge members spent quality time fellowshipping with the residents. The highlight of the afternoon was a surprise appearance by the Easter Bunny, which drew bright smiles and laughter from the seniors and staff alike. The visit was a resounding success, superbly embodying the Masonic virtue of brotherly love and leaving an impression on the hearts of everyone involved.

This thoughtful contribution serves as a profound demonstration of Masonic Relief, providing for the material needs of distressed or underprivileged families. By ensuring that the most vulnerable members of our community have the foundational tools they need to succeed academically, the Lodge proudly upholds its duty as protectors of the community and steadfast Bearers of Light.

Honoring Survivors: Bowling for a Cause: Striking Out Substance Abuse
Early In March 2026, the Brothers of Hamilton Lodge participated in a "Bowling for a Cause" event, partnering with the National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence, Inc. (NCADD). This initiative was dedicated to raising awareness for the many individuals in our community who are currently suffering from the devastating effects of substance abuse.
By bringing attention to this critical issue, the Lodge exercised the core Masonic tenet of Relief, acknowledging the emotional and physical struggles of those battling addiction and extending a hand to those in need. As Bearers of Light, the Brothers remain committed to being protectors of the community, offering awareness, support, and compassion to those in their hour of greatest distress. Empowering the Rising Generation at Evangel Christian Academy
In February 2026, Hamilton Lodge proudly participated in a senior bake sale alongside the students of Evangel Christian Academy. The collaborative fundraiser was organized to help raise funds for the students' upcoming senior trip, ensuring a safe, joyful, and memorable conclusion to their high school journey.
This community engagement was a prime example of Masonic Charity and Fellowship in action. By supporting these young scholars, the Lodge continues its proud tradition of investing in the "rising generation". A Season of Reflection and Brotherly Fellowship:
To conclude the year, the Brothers gathered in late December for their annual Christmas dinner. This event allowed members to fellowship with their families and reflect on a year of service. Such gatherings are viewed as essential to the craft, strengthening the internal bonds of Unity that empower the Lodge to be effective "builders" within the broader community.

Hamilton Lodge Offers Compassion in a Time of Need:
Also in December 2025, the Brothers of Hamilton Lodge #365 assembled and delivered care baskets to a young woman battling stage four cancer. The recipient expressed immense gratitude for the thoughtful gesture and the support the Lodge provided during her difficult journey. Although she sadly passed away shortly thereafter, the Brothers were honored to provide this final act of Brotherly Love and Truth, acknowledging the sanctity of life and our enduring commitment to stand by those in their hour of greatest need.
