The School of Teaching and Learning is accredited by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education and provides a comprehensive curriculum that spans early childhood, elementary, K-12 and special education to prepare students with high-quality teaching skills and solid grounding in their chosen discipline. Through intensive, hands-on learning, students discover where their teaching passion lies, participate in field experiences, interact with children in local elementary schools, and receive mentorship from outstanding faculty and area teachers. Local partnerships with area schools offer a wealth of immersive classroom experience and outstanding student-teaching opportunities for advanced professional development. Graduates of the program are competitive applicants for teaching positions and excel in a variety of teaching disciplines.
