Participants will learn how to prepare important documents, identify emergency contacts, organize medical and financial information, and connect with reliable legal resources.

Students attend the mandatory consent culture workshop on Tuesday night, September 2.  This workshop is held every semester for students who are enrolled in a performance class in theatre, music and/or dance.  In any performance, working closely with others in a high-stress, fast-paced environment can sometimes lead to uncomfortable interactions or misread communications.  This workshop, facilitated by Dance Professor Beth Megill, who was trained and certified with Theatrical Intimacy Education (TIE), helps students navigate these situations. These lessons, which teach students how to advocate for themselves and express their boundaries, can be applied to the students upcoming rehearsals and performances but also can be applied to their lives outside of college.

Volunteer for Student Day of Service
SEPTEMBER 16, 2026 at 10:00 AM in the Moorpark College Campus Quad!
Join us as the Moorpark College community comes together to commemorate the September 11 anniversary through a day of remembrance and service. Together, we will remember the lives impacted by the events of September 11, honor the bravery and sacrifice of first responders, service members, and others, participate in a Student Day of Service, and conclude with a commemorative walk.

Volunteers will assemble care packages for For The Troops, supporting U.S. military members serving overseas.
