Fall Semester Week 2 Recap 🏃‍♂️💨

After prepping all weekend, and getting lots of rest and stretching in, Det 915 cadets gave it their all and completed the Mock PFA on Tuesday and Thursday’s PT’s, and also pushed themselves in a AMRAP exercise! The Mock PFA set each cadet’s baseline for the semester, giving each a sense of what needs improvement, and what is going well.

At LLAB, the 100’s learned basic drill movements, both individually and in a flight! The 200’s got the rust off their gears and got back into the swing of commanding a flight and marching.

Very successful week! Cadets gave it their all, and look ahead to keep their strides long into next week.

Fall Semester Week 1 😎✅
And just like that, we’re back and we’re starting the year off with a bang! Our new cadet orientation featured lots of amazing food and fun, and getting to know our new 100’s. After that, we had our first morning LLAB to go over yearly expectations and rules and where we all also struggled with that early 0520 wake up alarm 😴. To finish off the week, we went over form review for the upcoming mock PFA next week, to ensure we are as prepared as possible! Det 915 is ready for a great year!!

Congratulations to newly commissioned 2nd Lieutenant Nathan Pollilo, who is an Alumni of West Virginia University Detachment 915. Lieutenant Pollilo has a degree in History and will be serving in the Air Force as a Munitions and Missile Maintenance Officer. Det 915 wishes him the best of luck in his future endeavors!

2d Lt Gabriele Smith of Forestville, New York graduated summa cm laude from West Virginia University with a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy. She is commissioning into the Air Force with a specialty of Logistics Readiness. Her first duty station will be Joint Base Charleston, South Carolina.

2d Lt John Seyle of Hedgesville, West Virginia graduated from West Virginia University with a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies.
