She's back, and so are we - this week's GTA/UTA feature is no other than Ohio native and swimmer Victoria Nist!!

We are so dang excited to welcome back Victoria to the RAP team. Beginning as a UTA in 2024, Victoria is now back in UGR as a RAP GTA!!

This future doctor wants you to say yes to every opportunity possible because you never know where it may take you. What we love about Victoria is her achiever attitude - anything can be accomplished as long as there is dedication and drive, which this gal has no shortage of!

While RAP recruitment has ended for the Fall 2026 cohort, we are eager to begin recruitment for our Spring 2027 cohort of RAP students! If you're interested, fill our the Interest Form at the link in our bio to let us know we can email you recruitment info later this semester.

Our UTA feature of the week has got us excited - there's a new sheriff in town, and while he'll only be with us for the fall semester, we cannot wait to see him teach and lead our students! Folks, give it up for our favorite musician turned doctor, Isaac Ridgely! 🤘🏻🎸

Isaac received his BA in music industry in 2024 and decided to fuse his passion with practice and pursue his lifelong dream of being a doctor. We're excited to have Isaac on board because of his confidence and tenacity to make such a change - it shows our students and you, dear reader, that anything is possible if you want it to be.
We're so excited to have this Wheeling native in our corner of the university for fall 2026!

Our next GTA/UTA shoutout of the week goes out to none other than our favorite D1 swimmer and Vermont native, Dr. Ella Miller!!!

If you've ever wondered why symposium runs so smoothly, you have Ella to thank - with coaching skills and a knack for organization of even the most overwhelming tasks, Ella's can-do attitude and dedication to shaping her students is truly special. ⭐️

Our favorite Noah Kahan fan enters her second year teaching RAP AND in her dual master's/doctoral program - Ella's no stranger to balancing work, life, and play, and any of her former students can tell you she's an amazing role model and human being. 😇

We love Ella and are so excited to have her on the team for year 2!!!! 😍💛💙

We present to you the one, the ONLY: cloe for this week's RAP GTA/UTA feature 🤗

With tears in our eyes and love in our hearts, we'll never know how we got so lucky to have Cloe on our team next year. A recipient of the Goldwater Scholarship, Cloe's is so excited to shadow her first HONR 297 sections this fall and take on her own class in the spring 💙💛

Other than being a riot and a half, Cloe's dedication to research and scholarship is inspiring. As a Morgantown native, Cloe knows the importance of getting involved in undergraduate research experiences early at a R1 institution like WVU.

If Cloe could tell the incoming Fall 2026 RAP cohort anything, it's to lean into the process of research - you get as much as you put in, and we couldn't agree more with this sweetie gal 💙💛

In order to properly welcome our Fall 2026 RAP cohort, we'll be featuring our amazing GTA's/UTA's all summer. Who better to start with than our very own Keyzar, AKA Keystar, AKA Keyzar Dominguez 😇💛💙

After a year of RAP instruction, Keyzar now serves as a GTA for our SURE program, which she participated in as an undergraduate. There is not one GTA on this campus more dedicated to their students, or their success - our favorite anecdote about this lovely lady is when she would walk her students to their first day of classes as a resident assistant (RA). If you've had Keyzar as your instructor, this comes as no surprise - especially since many of her students purposely sign up for her sections 🤗

If Keyzar could tell our incoming cohort anything, it's be this: Be kind to yourself! Learning is a process and no one jumps into research immediately knowing what to do. Build up your skills little by little and you will watch yourself grow into a confident and capable researcher!

We've been lucky enough to watch Keyzar gain that confidence, too - if you know her, you love her, especially here at UGR 💙💛 We couldn't do what we do without you, Dr. Dominguez!!!

To our students: each of you are truly remarkable and the UGR team, as well as your mentors, peers, and professors at WVU are so proud of you. We cannot wait to see you on campus to watch you grow, learn, and change the world before our very own eyes 🤗

RAP is open to all students in all majors with all GPA's. As a RAP student, you'll take courses taught by graduate students and undergrads who are becoming experts in their fields and producing fascinating research that allows WVU to have their R1 designation.

Today we celebrated our amazing graduating TA's and student workers!!

will be working on his cybersecurity start-up and preparing for his fully-funded master's degree program and will be taking a year off before applying (and getting into, we have no doubts) medical school. , our social media queen, will be applying to jobs in neuroscience marketing and Dr. will be taking on a counseling role in Charlotte, North Carolina 🙂‍↕️💙💛 These rockstars make it look so easy!!!

We will so miss these amazing human beings!!!!! We love each of you and are so appreciative of the hard work and dedication you put into teaching our RAP courses. You'll always be Mountaineers 💙💛
