WVU - Industrial Assessment Center WVU Industrial Assessment Center is funded by the U.S. Department of Energy to provide no-cost energy assessments to small and mid- sized manufacturers.

The Industrial Assessment Center at West Virginia University, is one of 37 centers around the country, funded by the U.S. A team of students and professors do the engineering measurements in auditing how each facility utilizes energy and resources. Then, they identify opportunities to save energy, reduce waste, and improve productivity. IAC energy assessments protect proprietary information.

WVU - Industrial Assessment Center(IAC and MARICE), funded by DOE Manufacturing & Energy Supply Chains Office (MESC) and U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), recently conducted an ITAC assessment at DALB Inc, Kearneysville, WV, on 09/20/2024. DALB Inc is an industry leader in providing the services related to printing, thermoforming, and fabrication. Our team, led by Dr. Bhaskaran Gopalakrishnan and IAC students Nishan Adhikari, E.I.T. , Rupesh Dahal, E.I.T. and Abdullah Alfadhli, had the opportunity to collaborate with industry leaders and contribute to optimizing the energy efficiency and sustainability of their operations.

The WVU - Industrial Assessment Center team recently conducted a MARICE assessment at InMotion US, located in Blacksburg, VA, on August 20-21, 2024. InMotion manufactures electric motors for automotive purposes.

WVU - Industrial Assessment Center (IAC and MARICE), funded by DOE Manufacturing & Energy Supply Chains Office (MESC) and U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), recently conducted an assessment at Silgan Containers New Castle, PA, on August 8-9, 2024. Silgan Containers, one of the largest and leading suppliers of containers and closures for food packaging, opened its doors for this assessment. Our team, led by Dr. Bhaskaran Gopalakrishnan and IAC students Roseline Mostafa, Bibek Prajapati and Rupesh Dahal , had the opportunity to collaborate with industry leaders and contribute to optimizing the energy efficiency and sustainability of their operations.

This insightful experience, held on 07/17/2024, allowed us to delve into cutting-edge manufacturing processes and identify opportunities for energy efficiency and sustainability improvements.
