Five senior nursing students of Organizational Transitions class participated in a health fair for Clayton County senior citizens held at Frank Bailey Senior Center in Riverdale. It was a great outreach opportunity for students to contribute towards increasing access to healthcare for a vulnerable population, and address disparities associated with social determinants of health.
The students attended to more than 100 attendees , taking their blood pressure, performing vision screening, BMI determination, blood glucose measurements, and client teaching on various topic. Remarkably, some attendees discovered for the first time, issues with either their blood pressure or blood glucose level. Thank you Dr. Obi for this opportunity!

We were honored to welcome one of our two-time alumni as the keynote speaker for the White Coat Ceremony, who delivered an inspiring and heartfelt speech reflecting on his journey into nursing. His powerful story, words of encouragement, and dedication to the profession served as a meaningful source of inspiration for our new cohort and soon to be graduates as they prepare to begin their own journeys in nursing.
