Meet Beau Garwood! 👋
📚 Senior | Finance
💼 Finance Intern | Corporate Tools

This summer, Beau gained hands-on experience at Corporate Tools in Post Falls, Idaho, where he worked on a real estate revenue analysis project comparing cash flows from different buildings to help project current and future return on investment. By applying concepts from his CBE coursework, including BUS 3540 and FIN 4090, Beau strengthened his skills in financial analysis while gaining valuable experience connecting classroom concepts to real-world business decisions.

"One of the coolest moments during my internship was when our office held a BBQ lunch on a random Thursday, and a water gun fight ensued for about an hour."

Beau would highly recommend Corporate Tools to other CBE students, highlighting the company’s commitment to helping interns learn and grow while creating a memorable experience.

Meet Vaishnavi Pandey! 👋
📚 Junior | Finance
💼 Purchasing Intern | Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL)

This summer, Vaishnavi gained hands-on experience supporting SEL’s purchasing team in a professional manufacturing environment. From managing purchase orders and communicating with suppliers to preparing Requests for Quotations (RFQs) and analyzing pricing information, she contributed to day-to-day procurement operations while developing valuable skills in supply chain coordination, data analysis, and professional communication.

Her CBE coursework, especially Supply Chain Management, Management, and Finance, helped her connect classroom concepts to real-world purchasing and cost-related decisions.

"One of the coolest moments from my internship was sending my first RFQ. After receiving training and working through the process, I successfully sent my first RFQ. It made me feel very proud because I realized I had learned a new and important purchasing task much faster than I expected."
