Hello Everyone!

Phi Upsilon Omicron has spent the last couple weeks working on something special. We know how hard it is for families during this time of distress and we wanted to help. The members of Phi U, have created a website that has resources to make your life easier. From delicious recipes to fun project that you can do with your kids. We all worked really hard and hope that you guys enjoy what we have put together! Like and Share the message to those in need!

Thank you!

Today, Phi U celebrates 111 years of Scholarship, Leadership, and Service. Happy Founders’ Day!

In Feb 10, 1909, a group of 16 young women at the University of Minnesota came together to form the Home Economics Club and committed themselves to furthering the studies of home economics and subjects focusing on the status of women. In 1911 the club would become Phi Upsilon Omicron, continuing the mission by leading through service, at home, on campus, and throughout the world.

Our amazing Scholarship Recipients from 2019 were featured in the Phi Upsilon Omicron Official Publication, The Candle. Our members work hard throughout the year and we wanted to take a minute to recognize them. Great job ladies!
We also wanted to remind everyone the 2020 Scholarships/Fellowships/Awards are due on February 1st:) if you need help or would like more information please feel free to reach out to one of these ladies or any member for the officer team.
Happy New Year!

You will find it that one of the reasons we are living longer and doing so in a healthier manner is because of the academic discipline that many of us dismiss with a snicker — home economics.
