Sigma Nu, Delta Omicron Chapter

Sigma Nu, Delta Omicron Chapter Sigma Nu Delta Omicron chapter was established at the univeristy of Idaho in 1915.

Delta Omicron Chapter
Sigma Nu Fraternity was founded at Virginia Military Institute in 1869, by three cadets and civil war veterans. After witnessing an unhonorable activity from another fraternity, our founders were inspired to establish a fraternity free from such childish and demeaning behavior. The three cadets set forth to create a fraternity based on values, whose members “believe in a life of love, walk in the way of honor, and serve in the light of truth.”

Locally, the Delta Omicron Chapter at the University of Idaho was established in 1915. Our current chapter house was built in 1931 and has recently received a full renovation, restoring the physical structure to its original grandeur. The Delta Omicron chapter is responsible for several achievements over the years, but even so, our members, both active and alumni always strive to put forth the lessons learned by our founding fathers. Throughout our history at the University of Idaho, Sigma Nus always have been successful in their college activities. Alumni members have gone on to become doctors, lawyers, teachers, professional athletes, soldiers, businessmen, and upstanding men in society.
