The 2026 Borah Symposium will take place on September 28 and 29, and December 2, 2026, at the University of Idaho’s main campus in Moscow, Idaho. This event will focus on human resilience in the face of international conflict. It will feature an opening keynote address by Laurie R. Blank, Director of the International Humanitarian Law Clinic at Emory University School of Law, and former Special Counsel to the General Counsel at the U.S. Department of Defense.

Nadia Murad, a 2018 Nobel Peace Prize recipient and an Iraqi human rights activist, will deliver the closing keynote on December 2. We will explore various facets of this intricate topic. Given the subject's relevance, we expect a vibrant discussion. We invite experts with diverse viewpoints to engage with the symposium's theme. All events are free and open to the public.
