Chief of Campus Operations and Career Counselor, Joanne M. Jones, MBA, shared more about PCOM South Georgia’s academic programs and commitment to community outreach—including our new MedROVer mobile unit. Dean of the PCOM South Georgia Osteopathic Medicine program, Robert Lloyd, DO, FACOS, also joined the afternoon panel discussion.

Have you been wondering about the large, RV-like vehicle in our parking lot? 👀 It’s our new Medical Rural Outreach Van (MedROVer)! 🩺🚐

The MedROVer will allow faculty and students to travel throughout the region, providing valuable community resources through health screenings, education, and wellness initiatives.

While we work to establish a travel schedule, the MedROVer will be open to the public every Tuesday from 4:30–6:30 p.m. for community health screenings.

Here's a first look at some of the newest Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine (OMM) Scholars training under Dr. Robyn Long! 🩺

These student doctors are taking an extra year to complete their Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degrees at PCOM South Georgia, gaining hands-on experience in a real clinic while helping teach OMM techniques to first-year students. Through her practice in Cairo, GA, Dr. Long is making OMM more accessible to the community while providing these students with valuable clinical experience. 💙

In case you missed it, first-year medical student and Colquitt County native, Selena Meza CGS '26 (DO '30), recently appeared on Town & Country WALB to share more about receiving the Dr. Savita Arya Memorial Scholarship. Our new Public Relations and Social Media Manager, Jamie Worsley Head, MA, joined her for the interview.
