Last day of GPSW 2026!

This last day was full of an amazing lineup of chamber ensemble concerts, the large ensemble concerts, and of course, we had to finish the week with our annual family photo!

We also got to hear two different premieres of new projects in the saxophone community! The first was the saxophone octet arrangement of the quartet piece “Extrovert” by Karalyn Schubring, performed by the faculty octet. The second was a piece commissioned by Professor Nichol for the university saxophone ensemble at GPSW 2026! The premiered piece was titled “Otherworld” by Devanii.

The studio is extremely grateful for everyone who made this workshop possible and to for supporting the studio in this endeavor!

GPSW Day 6!

Today featured our last round of quartet coachings, a wonderful performance by Jamison of Paul Bonneau’s Caprice en Forme de Valse, and we ended the night with a camp-wide jazz jam that Sam, Dillon, and Caleb participated in!

Super excited for our last day tomorrow and all the concerts that come with it!
