🚨 Heads up, Skagit Valley community!

On Thursday, Oct. 15, at 10:15 a.m., Skagit Valley College will participate in the Great Washington ShakeOut, a statewide earthquake preparedness drill.

As part of the drill, SVC will activate its emergency notification systems across our campuses and centers. This includes outdoor sirens, speakers, text and email alerts, and other campus notifications.

If you hear sirens or see emergency alerts from SVC at this time, don't be alarmed. It's only a drill! An "All Clear" notification will be sent approximately five minutes later.

This is a great reminder for everyone to practice earthquake safety: Drop, Cover, and Hold On!
