"MTSU Mock Trial, combined with Legal Studies Society, Criminal Justice Association, and Moot Court Association, is proud to host MTSU's first Legal Launch!

This will help on September 1st in Honors Room 106 from 5:30-7:30 pm! Feel free to come in at any time! Pizza will be provided, as well as a brief introduction to each organization a part of this event.

This is a very informal social event, so don't worry about any materials or anything! We hope to see you there and help you have a little glimpse into what our organizations are about!"

“ Garrett, who knew she wanted to major in political science, said Lyons made it clear that the College of Liberal Arts faculty was there to support students and provide opportunities to learn outside the classroom.

“Not only did I feel at home when I got here, but I knew for a fact there would never be a time that I didn’t have someone who was going to care about what I was doing,” Garrett recalled.”

Today! MTSU Mock Trial is having their interest meeting this afternoon from 4:30 - 7:30PM (you can drop in when you can) in Peck Hall 211. Come meet the team, hear from the coaches, and learn more about the class and competitive opportunities. Mock Trial is a great opportunity for students interested in studying the law and/or entering the legal profession!

Applications for TISL (Tennessee Intercollegiate State Legislature (TISL)) are now open!

Not to be confused with similarly named TLIP (the full-time internship program in the spring semester), TISL is a four-day mock legislative session each November in the State Capitol.

Every college and university in Tennessee is invited to send a delegation of representatives, senators, lobbyists, and media personnel to TISL! Accommodation costs and TISL entry fees are covered by the University.

Any major can apply to participate.

Event Today: "Meet Murfreesboro" is happening today on campus, outside the Student Union in the "Student Union Commons" (the grassy area in front of the STU) from 12:00PM - 4:00PM.

You can meet local community organizations, businesses, and campus partners.

"This is a great opportunity to learn more about the resources, programs, and services available to support our MTSU community. Come by when you can, meet our participating organizations, and discover what our Murfreesboro community has to offer!"
