ARTS BORO CONNECTS WITH ARS GLORIA

MTSU Art and Design, the Stones River Creative Arts Association, Boro Art Crawl, Artists’ Row and the Art Studio Tour are working together as Arts Boro to connect our regional creative community with Ars Gloria, a statewide visual-arts initiative presented by the Tennessee Press Association and the Tennessee Art League.

We begin by sharing “Sherri Warner Hunter on Cementing Legacies.”

Mixed-media sculptor and public artist Sherri Warner Hunter has spent decades creating colorful, large-scale community installations that bring together concrete, mosaic and other materials. Her remarkable story speaks to persistence, mentorship, creative exploration and the power of art to shape the places we share.

🎨 FINAL CHANCE TO SIGN UP FOR THE STUDENT-LED ART SALE!

The deadline to submit your work is October 9, 2026 — that’s only ONE WEEK AWAY!



Todd will be hosting a student-run art sale alongside the Arts Studio Tour with the Stones River Craft Association. This is a great opportunity to present your best work, connect with the community, and gain hands-on experience learning how to sell your artwork.



🏆 Scholarship Opportunities

Participating students will have the opportunity for scholarship opportunities while gaining valuable experience selling and promoting their work.



The event will take place November 20–22 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.



The art sale will also take place alongside the Department of Art and Design Scholarship Roundup. Funds raised from each item sold through the Foundation Store support Department of Art and Design scholarships, outstanding scholarship recipients, and participating artists.

A look back at our recent Saturdays At Todd experience: Resin and Rhythm led by art education major Mia Fournier ✨

Participants created their own resin mosaic coasters using color, texture, glitter, and other materials while exploring the creative possibilities of resin art.

Due to the incredible support from across campus and our community, we’re offering a final encore of the Scholarship Roundup today through 4 PM on the 2nd floor of the Todd Art Building and want to say Thank you, to everyone that has participated thus far.

We are truly grateful for the artists who shared their work and for the community that has shown up in support, every piece selected and every contribution made directly fuels student scholarships and creative opportunity at MTSU.
