The MTSU Center for Historic Preservation, established in 1984, carries out preservation, history, and education projects across Tennessee, the South, and the Nation. Students who have worked at the Center and/or graduated from the MTSU preservation program, and our many friends across the nation, are encouraged and welcomed to join this group and find out what we are all about. Please all tell us

about you are doing and let us together add to the efforts of preservation advocates across the United States.

Last night, Nashville PBS aired "Civil War Medicine in Tennessee," the latest program of The Citizenship Project. The program features CHP Associate Director Dr. Torren Gatson and was supported with matching funds from the Tennessee Civil War National Heritage Area.

During the Civil War, Nashville became one of the largest hospital cities in the U.S.
