After working as an LVN for 6 years, Alexis was ready to take the next step in becoming an RN. As a working mom, she joined our Advanced Placement Pathway. The workshop allowed her to review the semester material and feel prepared to start her journey in 3rd semester. Alexis encourages anyone who is interested in becoming an RN to do it as it is never too late.

Meet Vanessa!

She has been active in her community with her experience as an EMT, CNA, and an in-home ABA therapy provider to those on the spectrum. Vanessa decided to pursue becoming an RN and join United Nursing College. Here, Vanessa was able to find a supportive community that encourages her nursing journey. Vanessa is looking forward to going back to the ER and exploring psych nursing.

Our student experienced a dementia simulator. Students were given gloves to show the change in motor skills, shoe inserts, and glasses with a black dot for vision loss. This allows students to understand barriers, deliver patient-centered care, and create adaptive strategies. 💜
