Sigma Kappa Omega Alpha Chapter Sigma Kappa Omega is a social sorority at Stephen F. Austin State University that strives to be a positive presence on campus and community. Austin campus.

We serve our community through participating in adopt-a-highway, Alzheimer's Walk, and Relay for Life. Sigma Kappa Omega began when Kara McIntyre and Katie McCormick decided that the national service sorority they were members of wasn't the type of sisterhood they had been searching for. Kara and Katie began working on the idea for Sigma Kappa Omega in Fall of 2001. After a lot of hard work, Kara

McIntyre, Katie McCormick and Megan Thomas became the founders of Sigma Kappa Omega. On November 12, 2001, the sorority's constitution became finalized, and was approved by the Office of Student Affairs. This is the date Sigma Kappa Omega was founded on the Stephen F.
