A CWI faculty member is sharing his teaching expertise with educators across the country!

Sociology Professor, Charles Dickinson, recently published a chapter in Teaching Introduction to Sociology, a book that explores ways to make introductory sociology courses more meaningful for students.

Drawing on his classroom experiences at College of Western Idaho (CWI), Dickinson shares strategies to help students connect sociology concepts with their education and future goals.

A teacher once helped Adriiela Motresku find her confidence. Now, she dreams of doing the same for others.

After moving to the United States from Ukraine, Adriiela faced the challenge of learning English while adjusting to a new school. Support from her English as a Second Language teacher inspired her to pursue a career in education.

Today, Adriiela is studying Elementary Education and Early Childhood Education at College of Western Idaho (CWI). With help from scholarships, she is working toward her goal of creating a welcoming classroom for future students.

Named Idaho's 2026 GEM Innovative Educator of the Year in Scientific Ways of Knowing, Jensen is being recognized for his creative approach to teaching anatomy and physiology.

From sharing experiences from his years as a chiropractor to connecting students with hands-on learning opportunities, Jensen helps make challenging concepts easier to understand.
