Northwest Nazarene University is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Stephen Lowe as Vice President for Academic Affairs, effective July 1, 2026.

With more than 30 years of experience in Christian higher education, Dr. Lowe brings a wealth of leadership in academic administration, faculty development, accreditation and student success. He joins NNU from Olivet Nazarene University, where he most recently served as Vice President for Academic Affairs and Chief Academic Officer.

Each week during the school year, students gather for chapel three times, creating space for worship, teaching and reflection led by campus leaders and guest speakers. It’s a consistent part of life that brings the community together.

Alongside that is Time Out, a student-led chapel that meets once a week. It’s a space created by students, for students—where peers lead and share the experience together.

Both offer something different. Together, they create a rhythm of faith, community and ownership that is central to the NNU experience.
