From celebrating our Surgical Technology and Paramedic graduates to expanding workforce training, announcing new scholarship support, securing funding for adult learners, and honoring 32 years of service from Dr. Janis Wilson Seeley, there was plenty to celebrate.

We hope your first week of classes is going well! Free Coffee and Hot Cocoa continues through Thursday, September 3, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM in the Trailblazer Cafe. Grab a drink on your way to class or relax in the student lounge, a great space to study, decompress, or socialize with friends. Stop by and visit us in the Campus Center, Building 14, on our main campus in Nanticoke!

After 32 years of dedication to Luzerne County Community College, Dr. Janis Wilson Seeley, Chair/Professor of the Social and Behavioral Sciences Department, celebrated her final day at LCCC.

There was a big turnout in Founders Hall for Janis’ clap-out, and she was overcome with emotion as colleagues and friends gathered to celebrate her incredible career and impact on generations of students.

Thank you, Janis, for 32 years of service, dedication and commitment to our students and LCCC. We wish you all the best in your retirement! ❤️🎓

Investing in the Future of EMS!

Today, Luzerne County Community College announced the Olsen Family Endowment Scholarship, created by LCCC paramedic graduate Stuart Olsen and Christina Hogrebe to help future paramedics overcome the financial challenges of their education.

The first scholarship will be awarded this fall, providing $2,250 over three semesters to one LCCC Paramedic Program student. We are grateful to Stuart and Christina for turning their own experience into an opportunity for the next generation of paramedics.
