Celebrating Evelyn Alvarez, whose time at Napa Valley College has been marked by growth, perseverance, and a strong commitment to STEM.

As a first generation student in the engineering field, Evelyn found support and opportunity through programs like MESA and EOPS, which helped her build academic confidence and connect with professionals in her field. She also gives back to the campus community as a student assistant at the Dream Center, where she supports and encourages fellow students.

Through dedication and hard work, Evelyn has been accepted to Santa Clara University and UC Merced and is thoughtfully considering her next step. She is excited to continue her journey in STEM and work toward her goal of creating high quality prosthetics to improve the lives of people and animals.

We are proud of Evelyn and excited to see what she accomplishes next.
