Campus Spotlight: Dream Center

The Dream Center is here to support our undocumented students and students from mixed-status families at Napa Valley College!

The center serves as a welcoming and supportive space where students can meet, connect, study, eat lunch, organize, and build community.

The Dream Center Counselors assist students with educational planning, academic and career guidance, financial aid, and more. Counselors meet students where they are and help them build confidence, navigate barriers, recognize strengths, and achieve their educational goals through advocacy, outreach, workshops, and relationship-building.

Thank you to Alfredo Hernandez, Lilliana Rivera, and Maria Lopez for fostering a sense of belonging and empowerment for undocumented students and students with mixed-status families!

The Dream Center also refers students to community resources such as FREE legal assistance.

Campus Spotlight: Pride Center

Happy LGBTQ+ History Month! An incredible part of our own history at NVC, the Pride Learning Community supports LGBTQ+ students and allies through immersive, engaging, and communal experiences both online and in-person. The Pride Center also hosts club meetings, activities, and events for NVC’s Pride Club.

Thank you to the Pride Learning Community Advisor, Greg Miraglia, and all Pride Center ambassadors for creating welcoming, safe spaces for LGBTQ+ students and allies on campus!

All are welcome to visit the Pride Center (Room 1008) to check out a quiet study space, access sexual health and wellness resources, learn about LGBTQ+ history, and more.

New to NVC and planning to transfer to a California State University (CSU) campus?

The CSU Transfer Success Pathway (TSP) is a dual-admission program that grants eligible students guaranteed admission to participating CSU campuses and degree programs. Students must be enrolling in a California Community College for the first time, complete required coursework, meet requirements, and transfer within three years.

Meet with a general counselor, confirm your eligibility, and submit your CSU Transfer Success Pathway (TSP) application by October 31, 2026.

At NVC, we know that caring for physical and mental health is essential to student success. Our Student Health Center is here to help!

Thank you to Melissa Datu and Jordan Drolette for helping students stay healthy, supported, and ready to learn!

The Health Center provides convenient, confidential care for students on campus. Low-cost and no-cost services are available through the student health fee. Students can access consultations, select medications, preventive care services, and more available to students – no health insurance required.
