It’s time for another Senior Spotlight! Emma (.05) joined us last fall and if you can’t tell by the photos, always finds a way to make us smile.

Major/Minor: English Literature major, Philosophy minor, Leadership concentration

Roles: Secretary for Enactus, Student Lead, Marketing stuff, and all the k-cup prep and filling things

What you are looking forward to this year: Choosing/working on our projects, going to Guatemala, competition

Plans after graduation: Your guess is as good as mine

Favorite part of working in the Lab: Free coffee the folks

What a great first day of the academic year! The lobby was buzzing with students, faculty, and staff stopping by for coffee while inside the Lab we were roasting, packaging, and making cold brew.

Today we bring you a very special “Where in the World is The Coffee Lab.”

We have developed a very cool mentor relationship with Starbucks Reserve® Roastery Chicago. Each year we visit their facilities and then we also have them come out to ours.

Today, we watched a batch of coffee get roasted, had a tour of the facility, participated in a sampling of two Colombian roasts, enjoyed delicious pastries, and chatted all about coffee.

Huge Thank You to Jordan P. Heneghan and Kelly for spending part of their day with us and to David Griffins for making it all happen.
