The Office of Global Engagement exists to create and integrate a comprehensive Rivier University program that diversifies the student population internationally while expanding campus-wide global experiences, awareness and understanding. OGE's Values are.....

Partnering: The Office of Global Engagement (OGE) proactively seeks to develop long-term partnerships with like-minded organizations around

the world. Immersing: The OGE’s programs are characterized by an immersive experience for faculty, staff, and students. Traditional forms of cultural engagement which distance visitors from local cultures will be avoided. Instead, every reasonable attempt will be made to connect the Rivier community to the local culture. Understanding: While service abroad can be a transformative experience for students, it also risks continuing the false narrative of “Americans help, others receive.” The OGE will focus on helping students learn about others before attempting to serve them. Service work done by Rivier students abroad is carried out through partner organizations run by nationals of the host country. Transforming: Under the Rivier University mission to “transform hearts and minds to serve the world,” the OGE seeks to connect all aspects of the Rivier educational experience to create a global platform for personal, academic, and vocational reflection and change.
