We want to take a moment to celebrate and thank Maysun Clardy for her graduation and for the lasting impact she has made on the chapter.🩷💚
A major in Medicine, Health, & Society.
From advocacy and research to mentorship and leadership, Maysun has dedicated her time to uplifting her community and creating meaningful change on and off campus. Her involvement includes serving as a BCC AmbassaDore and Historian Intern, where she curated a mural honoring the history and legacy of Black staff at Vanderbilt. As an Undergraduate Research Assistant with EDEFI and through her work studying the Black Maternal Health Crisis, she researched and presented on healthcare accessibility, social determinants of health, and health inequities impacting historically marginalized communities, especially in Tennessee.
Maysun has also been deeply committed to service through the Vanderbilt Prison Project, Sister2Sister mentorship, and tutoring elementary students at Ida B. Wells. Within Eta Beta, she served in numerous leadership roles including Historian, Vice President, Social Justice Chair, Mini Week Chair, and Heartbreaka Co-Chair. Additionally, she expanded her knowledge of healthcare systems through her Equity, Inclusion, and Diversity internship with Kaiser Permanente for the Southern California region. Her academic excellence has also earned her recognition on the Dean’s List multiple times.
After graduation, Maysun plans to work full-time with a healthcare organization before pursuing her Master’s degree.
