Our County Directors learned some new skills at our meeting today!

The last two days were spent working with our new and reassigned ANR agents from across the state. We are grateful to be able to host the event in the Central Region this year.

Thanks to our partners at the Tennessee Department of Agriculture, Tennessee Farm Bureau, Highland Rim Ag Research Education Center, UT Soil, Plant, and Pest Center for being a part of the training.

An extra special THANK YOU to three Robertson County producers (Willis Jepson, Bob Strasser, and Corey Blick) for giving up their Wednesday evening to visit with the agents.

Thank you to county agents Lucas Holman, Wayne Key, Creig Kimbro, and Timmy Mann for helping make this a great success.

🍀Central Region 4-H staff met for their annual program development day. We appreciate the updates from our state 4-H leaders and hearing from Middle Tennessee Electric about programs they offer. We had program spotlights from Marion, Van Buren, and Sumner counties. Our seasoned agents demonstrated how to do an honor club initiation ceremony for our newest staff. Our 4-H staff works hard to provide fun, educational opportunities for youth across our region. 🍀

The Tennessee State Fair is buzzing, and the UT Extension Family & Consumer Sciences agents are celebrating another incredible year of growth in the State Adult Canning Competition! 🎉

Our goal each year is to have all 95 Tennessee counties represented, and we are thrilled to see continued participation and growth!

We grateful for awesome UT Extension Specialists who offer hands-on in-services for our agents. Today, Dr. Bruno Pedreira, Dr. Hannah Wright-Smith, and Dr. Katie Mason conducted a forage management training in the Central Region. The program will provide a comprehensive overview of essential forage management topics.
