Now let’s meet this year’s academic officers!
“Hi! I’m Abi Garmany, and I’m a sophomore neurobiology major from Sevierville, TN. I’m so excited to be serving as an Academic Officer on the Honors Council this year! My favorite honors memory is going to the Small Business Bash, meeting the creative vendors, and making friends who also love s’mores. The honors college is such a unique, connective community, and I can’t wait to share honors experiences with you guys this year!”
“Hey guys! My name is Yossif Khalil, and I’m a senior Bioscience and Philosophy major on the pre-med track from Nashville. I’m excited to serve as an Academic Officer this year! One of my favorite Honors College events are the International Dinner Nights because it’s such a fun way to experience different cultures, share great food, and connect with people. The Honors College has been such a special part of my college experience, giving me the opportunity to build meaningful friendships, meet new people, and grow alongside an amazing community. I’m grateful to be part of it and excited to help make this year a great one!”
“Are you kicking butt and taking names? My name is Xavier T. Cooper, and I am originally from Kenosha, Wisconsin! I am a History and Law, Justice, and Society double major, and an academic officer for the Honors House! My favorite memory in the Honors school was probably when we went to the Nashville Zoo during my freshman year, as I made some good connections to friends that day that have lasted to this day! We also got absolutely soaked by a huge downpour, so it was an amusing day as well! Hope to see you sometime in the Honors House studying with a good coffee!”
