Growth and Purpose for Students (GPS) Life is full of roadblocks, and a GPS is the best tool you have to plan out your road trip to avoid and overcome them!
When you're headed somewhere new, more often than not, you're going to pull out your GPS to help you get to your destination. Even when you do know where you're going, sometimes it's helpful to use a GPS to avoid heavy traffic, discover construction detours, and even to find the best place to fill up on gas. The GPS Office serves the same purpose for this journey – your Belmont experience! We're h
ere to coach you through through discerning your unique path, help you avoid or recover from academic setbacks, and aid you in identifying the best opportunities and resources available to you as you work toward arriving at your final destination: graduation from Belmont!

The primary goal for our office is to help you be successful!
GPS stands for “Growth & Purpose for Students,” but we use the acronym because we want Belmont students to use us just like the app on your phone or the device in your car – you won’t have to embark on this Belmont journey alone!
We are here to assist you with your academic journey, and to connect you holistically to resources available to you during your Belmont experience. Here are just a few ways we can help!
Direction and Discernment – You may know your major already, or you may want to explore before you choose. Our office has coaches and tools to help you explore options to reach your career goals or to find a different way to fulfill your passions.
Academic Preparation and Planning – The GPS Office is the place to go if you need assistance creating a degree completion plan or if you need to talk to someone about making changes along the way.
Academic Success and Recovery – Sometimes students need added support in the form of tutors or individual meetings with coaches to develop a recovery plan to overcome a failed course or poor performance. Our coaches and programming are able to help you with the level of support needed and assist you in the development of a plan that works for you.
